What is Lactobacillus casei?

Lactobacillus casei is a Gram positive bacterium of the genus Lactobacillus, which is non spore forming and facultative anaerobic. It is commonly found in fermented dairy products (such as yogurt and cheese) and the human gut. It can tolerate gastric acid and bile, regulate the balance of flora and inhibit harmful bacteria after colonizing the intestinal tract; It can also promote nutrient absorption, assist in improving digestion, and some strains are used in probiotic products. After research, it has a positive effect on supporting intestinal health and enhancing immunity, and is one of the widely used strains in the fields of food and probiotics.
